Terms and Conditions
The terms that apply when you use our website or book garage door service with Garage Door Repair Tallahassee.
About these terms
These Terms and Conditions apply to your use of thegaragedoorrepairtallahassee.com and to garage door services you book with Garage Door Repair Tallahassee, located at 2020 W Pensacola St, Tallahassee, FL 32304. In these terms, “we,” “us,” and “our” mean Garage Door Repair Tallahassee, and “you” means the person using the website or requesting service.
By using this website or booking a service with us, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. Any written estimate, invoice, or work order we give you for a specific job also applies to that job. If it conflicts with these terms, the job document controls.
Using our website
You may use this website to learn about our services and to contact us. When you use it, you agree not to:
- Use the site for anything unlawful, or to harass or mislead anyone
- Submit false information, or contact information that belongs to someone else
- Send spam, malicious code, or automated requests that disrupt the site
- Try to gain unauthorized access to the site, its hosting, or its data
- Copy or republish our content for commercial use without our written permission
We may limit or block access to the site for anyone who breaks these rules.
Website information and guidance
The articles, guides, cost ranges, and safety tips on this site are general information, written to help homeowners understand common garage door problems. They are not a diagnosis of your door and are not a substitute for an inspection by a trained technician.
Garage door springs, cables, and bottom brackets are under high tension and can cause serious injury. Nothing on this website is an instruction to repair, adjust, or remove these parts yourself. If you choose to work on your own door, you do so at your own risk.
Price ranges shown on the site are typical market figures and are not a quote for your door. Your actual price is confirmed by the technician after an on-site inspection.
Booking a service
You can request service by phone, email, or our contact form. A request is not a confirmed appointment until we confirm a date and time window with you. Arrival times are estimates. Traffic, weather, emergencies, and earlier jobs can cause delays, and we will let you know if we are running late.
To book, you confirm that you own the property or have the owner’s permission to authorize work on the garage door. For rental properties, we can schedule with your tenant, but the person who authorizes the job is responsible for payment unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Estimates and pricing
Any price we give over the phone, by text, by email, or through the website is an estimate based on the information you share. The final price is set on site, after the technician has inspected the door, opener, and hardware.
Before any work starts, the technician will tell you the price. If they find additional problems, such as a worn drum, a rusted bracket, or a broken spring, they will explain what they found and the cost, and they will not do that extra work without your approval. You are free to decline any repair you do not want.
If any service call, trip, or diagnostic fee applies to your visit, we will tell you before the appointment is confirmed.
Payment
Payment is due when the work is complete, unless we agree otherwise in writing. We accept major credit and debit cards, cash, and checks. If a payment is declined or a check is returned, you remain responsible for the amount owed, and we may charge a returned payment fee to the extent allowed by Florida law.
Parts we install remain our property until they are paid for in full.
Cancellations and rescheduling
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please call us as early as you can so we can offer the time to another customer. If someone needs to be home to give the technician access, please make sure they are there during the confirmed window. If no one is available when the technician arrives, we will contact you to arrange another visit.
Access and site conditions
On the day of service, please give our technician clear access to the garage door, the opener, and a working electrical outlet. Move vehicles and stored items away from the door where you can, and keep children and pets away from the work area.
Our technician may decline or pause work if conditions are unsafe, for example structural damage to the door opening, exposed wiring, or an aggressive animal. We will explain why and discuss the next steps with you.
Warranty
We stand behind our work. Parts and labor on our repairs are covered by a warranty, and the coverage and length for your job are stated on your invoice. Parts made by manufacturers may also carry the manufacturer’s own warranty, which we will pass on to you.
Our warranty covers the parts we installed and the work we performed. It does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear on parts we did not replace
- Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or vehicle impact
- Damage from storms, flooding, power surges, or other events outside our control
- Problems caused by repairs or changes made by anyone other than our technicians
- Parts supplied by the customer
If you think a warranty issue has come up, call us before anyone else works on the door, so we can inspect it and make it right.
Limitation of liability
We carry insurance and take care to protect your property while we work. To the fullest extent allowed by Florida law, our total liability for any claim related to a service is limited to the amount you paid for that service, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost income or the cost of alternative transportation.
The website is provided “as is.” We work to keep it accurate and available, but we do not promise that it will always be error free or uninterrupted.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Florida law, including liability for gross negligence or intentional misconduct, or any rights you have under consumer protection laws.
Calls, texts, and emails
When you give us your phone number or email, you agree that we may contact you about your service request, including appointment confirmations, arrival updates, and follow ups. Message and data rates may apply to texts. You can reply STOP to any text to stop receiving them. We do not send marketing messages without your permission.
How we handle your information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
Content and trademarks
The text, design, graphics, and photos on this website belong to Garage Door Repair Tallahassee or are used with permission, and they are protected by copyright law. You may view and print pages for your own personal use. Brand names and logos of manufacturers shown on this site belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify the products we service. Their use does not mean those companies endorse us.
Links to other websites
Our website may link to other sites, such as manufacturer pages or map services. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, products, or privacy practices.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. If a concern comes up, please contact us first, and we will do our best to resolve it directly. If a dispute cannot be resolved that way, it will be handled in the state courts located in Leon County, Florida, unless the law requires otherwise.
Changes and general terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. The version posted when you book a service applies to that service.
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce any part of these terms is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
